Information for Guidance Counsellors

Guidance Counsellors are a vital link for us to students in schools across the country. 

Guidance Counsellors help us to publicise and inform students and families of the range of Access activities on offer as well as the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR).  Retention rates of access students are higher than retention rates amongst the general student body and increasing numbers of access students are achieving distinctions in final exams. 

So far, the Access Service has supported approximately 1,000 students and has worked with over 10,000 students through our schools and community initiatives.
