Ron Cooney
Ron Cooney studied the flute with Doris Keogh at The Royal Irish Academy of Music.
He has been involved in music education all his working life and was involved in the early stages of the Newpark Music Centre. In the late eighties he founded the Baileborough School of Music with that community,and began work in Ballymun in 1996 as part of the Breaking the Cycle initiative.
In 2001 he became musical director of the DIT Community Links Ballymun Music Programme.
Ron is also a staff member of the music school in Alexandra College Dublin.
