Ballymun Lullaby Film Screening

Ballymun Lullaby, a feature film documenting the Ballymun Music Programme was screened in Axis, Ballymun on Monday 14th November. There was a great turn out to see this unique film which was introduced by Professor Tommy Cooke, Director of the DIT Community Links Programme. The film was attended by acclaimed film director Frank Berry, Music Director Ron Cooney, Cllr. John Lyons, programme musicians and sponsors, school principals, teachers,  the film crew and cast along with their family and friends. The String Musicians from the Holy Spirit Girls School, conducted by Maire Ní Chroinin, performed to a delighted audience prior to the film screening. A great night was had by all who attended. The film will be also be shown for a limited period in the Irish Film Institute(IFI) from the 16th of December. Live performances by young singers and musicians from The Ballymun Music Programme will take place on Friday 16th at 6pm and Sunday 18th at 4.50pm at the IFI.
